Help with our Helping Hands Befriending Service.
As a volunteer befriender you would offer supportive, reliable relationships to people affected by social/rural isolation or advancing illness, helping them to cope and improving their well-being. You might meet your befriendee for coffee and a chat, or take them to a social group or the shop. The service is very much designed around the needs of the individual and becoming a volunteer is a great way to help someone in a slightly more formal way in your community. If you are available for 1-2 hours every week or fortnight and you want to find out more about being involved, then please get in touch here.
Help with our Hospital Transport Service.
All we ask for is an enjoyment of driving and spending time in someone else’s company ( and a valid driving licence! ). The service takes individuals to medical appointments and is an essential service for many in our communities. If you would like to get involved, then please do get in touch here.
