Supporting the best possible care in Acharacle, Ardgour, Morvern, Sunart & West Ardnamurchan
Urram is a charity that has been established to support the best possible care for the residents of Acharacle, Ardgour, Morvern, Sunart and West Ardnamurchan by working with the community, NHS Highland and other partners.
We envisage a time when all care services in the area are either delivered by, or in co-operation with us; working with NHS Highland, Highland Hospice, Highland Council and other appropriate partners. The aim is for care to be flexible and provided in a way that it is responsive to the needs of our community.
Welcome to Urram
For people of any age (under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult) who are resident in the community council areas of Acharacle, Ardgour, Morvern, Sunart or West Ardnamurchan and who need assistance to attend essential appointments.
A one-to-one befriending service open to anyone over the age of 18 who lives on the Morvern and Ardnamurchan Peninsulas, who feels lonely or isolated.
The car club increases the number of transport options available to local community residents, improving connectivity and reducing some of the transport difficulties that we all face.
Support in the right direction. Self-directed support is the way that social care should be arranged and delivered in Scotland.
Are you interested in providing flexible, tailored care in your local community? Becoming a Personal Assistant (PA) is a very rewarding job.
As a small charity working for the benefit of a large area any amount you are able to donate makes a big difference to us and we are very grateful for your support.
